Make an electromagnet.

 Caution:
Get an adult to help you!
The wire will get hot very quickly!
Items needed: 20 penny common nail, shellac coated magnet wire
a paper clip, and a 9 volt transistor battery.

  Simply wrap the magnet wire around the nail several times, scratch the shellac
off the ends of the magnet wire, and touch the ends of the wire to
the 9 volt battery. Put a paper clip close to either end of the nail
and it will be attracted to the nail!
